New Points Based Immigration System

New Points Based Immigration System – Kilic & Kilic Solicitors, London

The main difference between the new points based system and the old style ECAA visas available for Turkish citizens is that the Home Office are looking for ‘skilled workers’.

We will briefly summarise some of the requirements for the new style Points Based System visas (please note that this is very brief advice, we advise that you contact our Immigration team for detailed advice tailored to your particular needs)

1. You will need to have a job offer from an employer who holds a Home Office sponsor licence
2. The job offer must meet the level of RQF 3 of above
3. You will need to pass a B1 level English language exam
4. Your job offer should include a salary package of at least £25,600 per annum. In the event that your salary offer does not meet this amount, you may have further options open to you which we can discuss during a consultation

In order to meet the eligibility requirements and in turn prepare a successful application, you will need to receive points from the relevant points based requirements, similar to the above. You will need at least 70 points in total to qualify to apply for this visa type.

You will need 70 points in total, so 20+20+10+an additional 20 to qualify.

We will briefly summarise the points as follows;

20 points for receiving a job offer by a licenced employer
20 points for qualifying for a job at RQF Level 3 and above
10 points for passing the Level B1 English language exam
20 points for receiving a salary offer of £25,600 and above (although these remaining 20 points are tradeable) once you receive the additional 20 points you will have the required 70 points.

If you are interested in this visa type, please contact our Immigration Team for a detailed consultation tailored to your personal circumstances.
